Parish to consider LDWF road maintenance, community cleanup and pavement study items

The committee agreed to place an LDWF cooperative-maintenance agreement for Duck Dam Road (estimated $1,000 per grading, three times per year) and a Keep Bossier Beautiful request to use a grappler truck for Operation Clean Sweep (April 18, 2026) on the March 3 agenda; a pavement analysis contractor is also onsite completing a road study.
Parish Engineer Eric Hudson told the committee the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries requested parish grading and maintenance for Duck Dam Road, a gravel road approximately five miles long, under a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement. Hudson estimated each grading would cost about $1,000 and the road would require maintenance roughly three times per year; LDWF will provide additional rock as needed.
Hudson also said Keep Bossier Beautiful requested the use of a parish grappler truck for Operation Clean Sweep scheduled April 18, 2026, and that a contractor hired to perform a parish-wide pavement analysis was on site completing a study of roads. Hudson said he would place both items on the March 3 regular meeting agenda for formal action.
