Chairman Glenn Benton reported on a Board of Appeals meeting and Ms. Jennifer Rose provided account details for two delinquent sewer customers. Ms. Rose recommended that a 10-day disconnect letter be sent to Mr. George Bradford III of 203 Augusta Circle, Benton (balance $242.40) and to Ms. Whitney Jordan of 790 Hackberry Drive, Bossier City (balance $100.00). Mr. Jimmy Cochran moved to uphold the recommendation and Mr. Julian Darby seconded; the board voted unanimously to approve sending the letters.
The motion in the minutes states that sewer service may be disconnected and that the resulting condition could render the home condemned and uninhabitable if payment in full is not received within 10 days. The board called for public comment and none was offered. Staff was directed to issue the 10-day notices in accordance with the Board of Appeals recommendation.
