Bossier Parish water board schedules Feb. 18 hearing to amend rate resolution

Chairman Glenn Benton presided as the Board of Supervisors for Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 voted to schedule a public hearing on Feb. 18, 2026 to amend the board's Dec. 21, 2022 resolution adopting water and sewer rates. Mr. Philip Rodgers made the motion, and Mr. Keith Sutton seconded; the board recorded a unanimous vote in favor.
Board members said the item was rescheduled because of a typographical error in the published notices. The amendment the board intends to consider would explicitly include water rates at all establishments under the current rate resolution. The hearing date and the reason for rescheduling were entered into the record during the Jan. 14 meeting; no public comment was offered on the scheduling motion.
The board will take public input at the Feb. 18 hearing before any formal change to the rate resolution is adopted.
