The St. Helena Parish Police Jury voted on Sept. 24 to deny an appeal filed by Cade and Brittany Taylor concerning the Glory Land Minor Subdivision, upholding the property valuation assessed by the Tax Assessor.
The Board of Review was opened earlier in the meeting; two protests were received, including one from Pompano Resources South Field, LLC (which withdrew) and the Taylors’ appeal. After re-opening the review later in the session, the jurors voted (motion by Quanika H. Muse, seconded by Ryan Byrd) to deny the Taylors’ appeal and accept the assessor’s valuation. The motion and outcome were recorded as unanimously carried by the jurors present. The Board of Review was then closed.
