Staff presented a multi-batch status update on Blight Elimination Round 3 at the June 16 meeting. The first batch of six includes 3304 Waalkes, which the minutes record as sold for $113,000; other properties in the first batch (2209 Leahy, 3213 Mona, 3314 Eighth, 3025, 3029) are slated to close this month or are in process.
Staff said the second batch of four (234 Harrison, 2100 & 3016 Fifth, and 3328 Jefferson) should see two houses completed by the end of the month and two by July. For the third batch (1152 Kampenga, 462 Catawba, 510 & 612 Ada, 979 Scott and 1088 Kenneth), 979 Scott, 462 Catawba, and 1152 Kampenga are completed and listed on the market, 1088 Kenneth is complete and awaiting grant reimbursement before listing, and 510 and 612 Ada were expected to be finished by the end of June. Staff noted additional Batch 3.5 addresses (2309 Hoyt, 4451 S Sheridan, and 1691 Pine) with 2309 Hoyt receiving final inspection and interior work progressing at 4451 S Sheridan.
The report asked for continued tracking of reimbursements and timelines so the Land Bank can coordinate listings and closings with grant reimbursement schedules.
