The Muskegon County Land Bank Authority accepted its financial report and instructed staff to place it on file at the June 16 meeting. Board member Cyr moved to accept the financials and place them on file, the motion was supported by Board member Kilgo and approved by all.
The board asked staff for a report detailing Grant properties that shows amounts spent, reimbursed, and pending reimbursement. Stacy Starr, identified in the minutes as Deputy Treasurer, advised the board that because the Land Bank is now managing grants it should consider an independent audit rather than relying solely on the County audit process. Following that recommendation, Board member Cyr moved to direct staff to prepare and issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional audit services; Kilgo supported the motion and it passed unanimously.
Board members set next steps for staff to draft the RFP and return with details to a future meeting; the board’s next meeting is scheduled for July 21, 2026.
