The Muskegon County Land Bank Authority voted Jan. 20 to submit an offer to purchase 13 lots adjacent to the former Lindbergh School for $26,000, or $2,000 per lot. The motion was made by Board Member Kilgo and supported by Board Member Cyr and approved by all members present.
Board members did not record additional sale conditions in the minutes for this motion. The meeting minutes list the purchase amount and vote outcome; the board’s action instructs staff to proceed with the offer. The decision follows the authority’s continuing efforts to acquire small parcels that can be combined for redevelopment or blight remediation in Muskegon neighborhoods.
The board took the vote during its regular board meeting after staff reports on ongoing development projects. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 17, 2026.
