Danny Gardner told the committee the backend for the new Freshdesk help-desk system is complete; synchronization with county Office 365 accounts still needs to take place. He said Computer Doctors have been kept busy with help-desk tasks as his attention focused on a backlog of building-security projects.
Gardner also listed other major budgeted IT projects for the year: an upgrade of Spillman servers at the Iron County Sheriff's Department and a county-wide upgrade to Windows 11. He said approximately 20–30 computers will likely need replacement for compatibility; Windows 11 has already been deployed on new computers without reported issues.
