Jurors back LGAP and CWEF applications and approve engineering agreement for water projects

The Police Jury adopted a resolution supporting an FY2025‑2026 Local Government Assistance Program (LGAP) application by Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 requesting $265,000 to purchase and install automatic water meters for Country Place Subdivision; the Parish Administrator and/or President were authorized to execute application documents.
Parish Engineer Eric Hudson reported that a FY2025‑2026 Community Water Enrichment Fund (CWEF) application would complete the East Central water storage tank project if awarded, requesting $350,000 with a local match of $45,500. Jurors also approved a Short Form of Agreement with Cothren, Graff, Smoak Engineering, Inc. for FY2324 CWEF Project No. 2026‑118 (Dogwood North Pump House - Phase II) in the amount of $13,000 to complete construction and observation services.
