Jury raises speed limit on Rebouche Road to 25 mph; adopts Ordinance No. 5093

The Bossier Parish Police Jury adopted Ordinance No. 5093 on Feb. 18, 2026, making it unlawful to operate a vehicle in excess of 25 miles per hour on Rebouche Road (Section 32, Township 19 North, Range 13 West). Parish Engineer Eric Hudson told jurors staff had researched the road’s history and that the speed had been reduced to 15 mph previously because families with young children lived there; jurors were told residents now request the speed be restored to 25 mph.
Chris Marsiglia moved to increase the speed limit and Julian Darby seconded. After the President called for public comment and none was offered, the jurors recorded a unanimous vote adopting the ordinance. The ordinance takes effect as adopted and was offered and seconded at the Feb. 18 meeting.
