The Police Jury of the Parish of Winn convened a special meeting at 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 4, 2024 at the Winn Parish Courthouse. President Frank McLaren called the meeting to order, and attendance was recorded; Mrs. Deionne Carpenter and Mr. Darrell Franks were absent.
The jury adopted the meeting agenda on a motion by Mr. Kyle Potts, seconded by Mr. Phillip Evans; recorded action shows 4 yeas, 0 nays, 2 absent and 1 abstained. Secretary/Treasurer Karen Tyler then displayed photographs and outlined the scope of proposed landscaping and maintenance work for the courthouse to be performed by Brinson Dirt Contracting, LLC.
Following the presentation, Mr. Author Robinson moved to enter into a contract with Brinson Dirt Contracting, LLC in the amount of $101,510; Mr. Kyle Potts seconded, and the motion carried by the same recorded tally. With no further business, the jury adjourned at 5:24 p.m.
