Council introduces zoning ordinance; public hearing set for March 3
Summary
The council introduced Summary No. 4331 to amend Chapter 22 (zoning definitions and permitted uses) and scheduled a public hearing for March 3, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. A motion to change all designations from P to CU died for lack of a second.
Council Chair Fred Everhardt introduced Summary No. 4331 on Jan. 20, an ordinance to amend Chapter 22 of the St. Bernard Parish Code of Ordinances (definitions and permitted uses in business and industrial zoning districts). Joshua “Josh” Moran moved to change all designations from “P” to “CU”; that motion died for lack of a second and was not adopted.
The council introduced the ordinance as presented and set a public hearing for March 3, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The minutes show the introduction passed unanimously; full ordinance text and supporting materials are on file at the Clerk of Council.
