Kenny Cook, Miami County planning director, reported the Planning Commission recommended denial of an application from Phil Green to rezone land from countryside to planned development for a mixed‑use RV park. Cook said commissioners raised concerns about the intensity of the proposed use and how it would transition to adjoining properties; he described the final recommendation as “a recommendation of denial.”
Cook added that some planning commissioners who voted to deny nevertheless said they might support a conditional use permit with time limits and additional conditions allowing more County oversight. He said roughly 15 to 20 properties were noticed for the case and that neighbors are beginning to assemble a protest petition; the matter will be on the Board’s July 29 agenda for further consideration.
