Commissioners discussed recruitment for the county administrator position and a distributed memo that suggested short-, medium- and long-term goals for the next administrator. The memo and the county's strategic plan (prepared previously with the KU Public Management Center) were offered as interview aids.
Sarah (staff) said the county had received about nine applications to date and the board discussed an expected review period into mid-July and additional national advertising to attract candidates. Commissioners emphasized confidentiality for applicants and interview lists and said there would be a time to release information publicly once the board authorizes it.
