Jacob Maddox of Benton Fire District No.4 told jurors the vote would be a renewal rather than a new tax.
The resolution notes an estimated $5,854,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year if the proposition carries. The jury’s resolution complies with Article VI, Section 15 of the Louisiana Constitution and the measure passed unanimously.
