Parish Engineer Eric Hudson presented several contract and project updates Feb. 4 that jurors approved by motion and resolution.
Hudson said Supplement No.1 from Volkert, Inc. for Project No. 2024‑121 (Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No.1 CSR and Headworks repairs) covers on‑site construction inspection services, not to exceed $28,800; jurors approved the supplement and authorized execution of documents. He also reported Change Order No.2 for Project No. 2025‑117 (Bossier Parish Libraries Administration Building Renovation) increases the contract by $21,719.42 to add access controls; the jury approved the change order. For Project No. 2025‑124 (New Water Well #8), Change Order No.1 adds $2,217 for adjustments to well casing and pump sizes after the well produced more gallons per minute than anticipated; jurors approved that change order as well.
Hudson also presented a not‑to‑exceed $9,000 proposal from Volkert to prepare a benefit‑cost analysis for a FY2026 DOT BUILD grant application; jurors accepted the proposal and authorized staff to execute related documents. All actions passed with unanimous votes recorded.
