At the Sept. 17 special session, the St. Helena Parish Police Jury acknowledged receipt of monthly budget-to-actual comparison and financial reports prepared by Sibley & Newell, CPA. The acknowledgment was made on a motion by Quanika H. Muse, seconded by Ryan Byrd.
The jury also approved requisitions presented by the Purchasing Agent (motion by Quanika H. Muse, seconded by Doug Watson) and approved checks written after the last regular meeting totaling $223,109.40 (motion by Quanika H. Muse, seconded by Ryan Byrd). The minutes record unanimous approval for these financial items but do not list individual payees for the post-meeting checks in the body of the minutes.
