St. Helena jurors approve staff transfers, hires and vehicle lighting additions

The St. Helena Parish Police Jury approved a series of personnel actions and equipment changes during the Sept. 17, 2024 special session. The jury transferred Cortne Coleman from part-time/as-needed to full-time Purchasing Agent / Payroll Clerk (motion by Ryan Byrd, seconded by Quanika H. Muse). Jurors also approved transferring Lorenzo Carter from Road District #3 to RBM (motion by Willie Morgan, seconded by Quanika H. Muse).
The jury unanimously approved hires, effective upon passing a drug screen and physical: Terry Holmes (Operator/Laborer) at $18.00 per hour; Jerome Lee (Heavy Equipment Operator) at $21.00 per hour; Harry Singleton (floater) at $18.00 per hour; Mike Guy (CDL driver/Motor Grader Operator) at $18.00 per hour; and Jessie Miller (General Laborer) at $16.00 per hour. Separately, the jury approved adding safety and security lighting to vehicles. All personnel and equipment motions were recorded as unanimously carried by jurors present.
