The Bossier Parish Police Jury on Feb. 4 adopted Ordinance No. 5091 to rezone a 0.510‑acre tract in Police Jury District 5 from R‑A (Residence‑Agriculture) to B‑3 (General Business) for placement of a self‑service ice‑making and vending machine.
Jeff Raley of Raley and Associates, representing applicant Chad Burguess of BMT Investments, said the site plan matches other self‑service ice units around the parish. “This zoning amendment is for a self‑service ice machine similar to others around the parish,” Raley said. The motion to approve was made by Juror Jimmy Cochran and seconded by Juror Pam Glorioso; the jury recorded unanimous yes votes from all 12 jurors and the ordinance was adopted.
The ordinance amends the parish’s Amended Unified Development Code and includes a legal description of the 0.510‑acre tract in Section 21, Township 19 North, Range 13 West. The public‑hearing portion of the record showed no public comment before the vote. The parish secretary attested to the ordinance’s adoption and the measure will be filed with the Clerk of Court as required.
