County clarifies which admin lines will be recorded and how transfers behave
Summary
Officials identified the admin numbers and dispatch trunks that will be recorded (9798, 9799, 9795) and explained the new system records at the handset/extension level so recordings may stop when calls transfer away from dispatch.

During the meeting Chair asked which admin lines should carry the recorded warning and be retained. Staff member and Agency official identified the key numbers and trunks that route into dispatch and confirmed that the county will record the dispatch extensions (examples given: 9798, 9799, 9795) rather than the auto-attendant trunk itself.
Staff member explained the new phone system records at the extension/handset level, so when a call transfers away from dispatch the recording typically ends. "As soon as it gets transferred away, the recordings can end," Staff member said, and participants discussed consequences for providing recordings that span transfers and for older analog setups that sometimes retained recording across a transfer.
