The Greene County School Board read and approved a resolution recognizing 13 employees who will retire at the end of the school year. Dr. Whitmarsh listed honorees and their years of service and said the resolutions will be recorded in the official minutes and presented at a retirement breakfast on May 27 at 9 a.m.
Names and years read into the minutes included, among others, Rhonda Kleinentz (35 years), Brian Collier (33 years total, 13 years in Greene), Alicia Fry (30 years total), Pam Morris (33 years, 8 months), and Joyce Woodson (14 years, 2 months). A board member moved to approve the resolution; a second was recorded and the board voted in favor by voice vote. Dr. Whitmarsh invited public comment on the resolution and there were no public speakers on the item.
The board will present the written resolutions at the retirement breakfast and will also include the text in the minutes of the May 13 meeting.
