The Greene County Board of Supervisors approved four appointments after returning from closed session, moving to fill several local and regional boards.
At the meeting the board voted to appoint Robbie Morris to the Piedmont Virginia Community College Board of Trustees for a four‑year term ending June 30, 2030. A subsequent motion directed the county attorney to petition the circuit court for the reappointment of Arthur Morrow III to the Greene County Board of Zoning Appeals for a four‑year term to expire March 13, 2030. The board also approved appointments to the Greene County Economic Development Board and the Greene County Economic Authority Board, each for four‑year terms with staggered expiration dates in 2030. All motions were seconded and passed by roll call.
"I would like to make a motion to appoint Robbie Morris to the Piedmont Virginia Community College Board for a 4‑year term to expire 06/30/2030," a supervisor said when introducing that appointment. The board recorded the approvals by roll call.
The actions followed the board’s closed session authorization earlier in the meeting under state law for discussions of prospective appointments and consultations with counsel. No member raised objections during the open‑session confirmations.
