The Neosho County Commission reorganized leadership on Jan. 13: Commissioner Gail Klaassen was appointed Commission Chair and Commissioner Paul Westhoff Vice Chair. "Commissioner Galemore motioned to appoint Commissioner Klaassen as Commission Chair and Commissioner Westhoff as Vice Chair," the minutes say; the motion passed 3-0.
The commission also voted to hold meetings every two weeks on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. It approved the Erie Record and Chanute Tribune as the county's official newspapers, designated a list of 2026 financial institutions including Bank of Commerce and Community National Bank & Trust, and accepted the county's 2026 committee list as presented.
