County Attorney Tiana McElroy informed the Neosho County Commission on Jan. 20 that she will be resigning from her position. Earlier in the meeting McElroy asked the commission to approve a County Attorney action form that had been presented at the prior meeting.
Commissioner Nicholas Galemore told the board that members of the public had expressed concerns about McElroy's availability and absence from the office. Commissioner Gail Klaassen also voiced concerns about a pay increase McElroy had requested. The minutes record McElroy's resignation but do not provide a resignation date or next steps for replacement.
