Aging Services meal bids awarded; commissioners reject Resolution 2026-15 on ambulance service

Roosevelt County commissioners approved two home-delivered meal bids for Aging Services on May 12: Northeast Montana Health Services at $24.00 per delivered meal and Roosevelt Medical Center at $17.50 per delivered meal. The board also approved annual pay raises for Aging Services employees Edith Yellowrobe, Alyssa Toavs and Amber Anderson.
During discussion of Resolution 2026-15 regarding NEMHS ambulance service, Commissioner Doug Marrottek moved to approve the resolution but the motion failed after debate. Commissioner Gordon Oelkers opposed the resolution citing concerns about county liability and authority and noting that the Montana Association of Counties (MACo) would not provide coverage for the county on the issue as discussed in the meeting minutes.
The Aging Services contracts were recorded as passed in the minutes; the ambulance resolution was not adopted and will not take effect as written.
