Houston County concurs with several Warner Robins annexations, sets road and water stipulations

The Houston County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 20 unanimously concurred with multiple annexations to the City of Warner Robins and attached conditions to protect county road and utility responsibilities. Commissioner Robinson presented the annexation of 1.35 acres at 417 Nelson Drive (tax parcel 00074E 170000); the board concurred after no public comments were offered.
Robinson also presented seven parcels located near and on South Houston Lake Road. The Board’s concurrence of those annexations includes a stipulation that the County complete scheduled resurfacing of the affected section of Houston Lake Road before the City assumes maintenance and that the City install a master meter on the Houston County water system to be individually metered by the City. The City will assume responsibility for maintenance, access control, improvements and traffic operations on Houston Lake Road and its right-of-way from Cohen Walker Road to Sandy Run Creek after the County’s resurfacing project is complete.
