Jordan Dettmer of Penco and Public Works Director Justin Mermis briefed the board on a ditch one mile south of Luray and sought recommendations for repair. Dettmer requested the county talk with the affected landowners and County Attorney Dan Krug before proceeding; commissioners asked for cost estimates for a structure replacement west of Lucas.
Commissioners also discussed a fiberglass bridge on 15th Street that needs patching and broader goals to make grading roads more efficient. Dettmer and Mermis will prepare cost estimates and Mermis said he would return the bridge-inspection contract to the board within weeks.
