Commission OKs sale policy for surplus Road & Bridge trucks to county fire departments

Administrator Stephanie Grisham told the Commission that Russell County Fire District #5 would like to purchase a truck from Road and Bridge. The Commission agreed to allow Road and Bridge to sell surplus trucks to county fire departments based on an average Blue Book value for each truck.
Separately, Chairman Duke Strobel moved to add Aurora Kuntzsch to the Russell County Fire District #5 roster pending required paperwork; Dean Haselhorst seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes record that sale terms will be tied to average Blue Book values and that Aurora Kuntzsch’s appointment is contingent on completion of hiring paperwork and payroll processing.
