After reconvening, Mr. Coleman moved that the board certify the executive meeting "was conducted in conformity with Virginia law," referencing Code of Virginia §2.2‑3712(D). The motion was seconded and approved by the board. The chair then called for approval of minutes from recent meetings; Dr. Schroff moved to approve the minutes, the motion was seconded and the board approved them by voice vote. Later the board approved the consent agenda without discussion.
The meeting proceeded with routine business and a schedule of recognitions and presentations. The board recorded several formal votes during the evening, each taken by voice or roll as noted on the record.
