Commissioners voted unanimously to approve a $10,000 supplemental service agreement with Saunders Engineering Consultants, Inc., of Centerville, Georgia, for additional engineering services on the Wilson Road and Elberta Road Phase 3 Project.
The board also approved a Memorandum of Agreement with the Development Authority of Houston County under which the county will provide an on-site maintenance employee; the Development Authority will reimburse the county monthly for that employee's salary and benefits. Both items passed unanimously during the Sept. 3 meeting.
The Saunders Engineering supplement supports current Phase 3 engineering work on county roads; the MOA formalizes an intergovernmental personnel arrangement to allow the Development Authority to have an on-site maintenance resource while the county retains employment responsibility and reimbursement duties.
