Harvest Trauma Recovery Center asks Travis County for help after City of Austin declines to renew contract

"We received a letter, from the city of Austin, saying that they cannot renew our contract for the trauma recovery center, and it's not due to performance," the speaker told the court and asked commissioners to help identify additional resources. The commenter also described high demand for services (about 1,500 clients in the pipeline) and acute mental-health needs among children who used the program in local schools, and said the nonprofit had opened a GoFundMe to bridge funding shortfalls. Commissioners thanked the speaker and noted staff would follow up.
