Supervisors certify multi-county Van Buren CSD debt levy election; measure fails in district

The board canvassed Sept. 10 special election returns for the Van Buren County Community School District debt-service levy and certified combined results from four counties, recording that Public Measure UQ was not adopted.
On Sept. 23 the Van Buren County Board of Supervisors, acting as the ex-officio Board of Canvassers, reviewed combined election materials from Van Buren, Davis, Henry and Lee counties and certified the results of the Sept. 10 Special Van Buren County Community School District Debt Service Levy election.
The board adopted Resolution #09-23-2024B, which states, "Public Measure UQ was not adopted by the voters in the Van Buren County CSD." Supervisors House, Meek and Richards recorded aye votes on the certification; no clerical errors were identified during the canvass, the resolution says. The certification completes the county's canvass duties for that multi-jurisdiction election.
