County public information officer announces county fair volunteer needs and local events

Carmen, the county public information officer, came to the podium to announce upcoming county and community events and volunteer opportunities. She said the Guadalupe County Fair runs Oct. 5–13 and organizers are seeking volunteers for ticketing and booths; she also noted a York Creek fire department supper and live auction and market days in Cibolo and Seguin to support local vendors.
A court member highlighted the New Berlin sausage festival scheduled for Sept. 1 and encouraged residents to attend and support the New Berlin Fire Department and community club. The court recorded the announcements and reminded residents of the next regular commissioners court on Sept. 3.
