Board of Health clears suspected tuberculosis case; not contagious

The Pawnee County Board of Health met in recess of the commissioners’ meeting at 2:25 p.m. on Jan. 12 to consider a possible tuberculosis case.
Public health staff member Cheryl reported the individual’s follow-up testing showed the case was not active and the person was not contagious. Cheryl explained the protocol that would apply if an active TB case were identified, and commissioners returned to regular session at 2:28 p.m.
No additional public-health actions were recorded in the minutes.
