Pawnee County adopts GAAP-waiver and designates official county website

Pawnee County commissioners approved two administrative resolutions on Jan. 12: a waiver of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles procedures for fiscal year 2026 and a formal designation of the county’s official website.
Motion by Commissioner Burdett, seconded by Commissioner Miller, adopted resolution 2026-R-1 (Waiving GAAP Procedures for Fiscal Year 2026); the motion passed 3-0. Separately, the board adopted resolution 2026-R-2, designating www.pawneecountykansas.com as the county’s official website, also by a 3-0 vote.
Clerk Rein presented the resolutions during routine fiscal and administrative business. These actions standardize where official notices and documents will be posted and record a short-term accounting procedure for the fiscal year.
