Davidson Road paving moves forward with $1.09 million ARPA-funded contract

Houston County Commissioners approved a $1,093,245.31 contract with Reeves Construction Company of Macon for paving on Davidson Road. Commissioner Gottwals presented the Engineering Department recommendation and the Board authorized Accounting to make necessary budget adjustments; funding will come from ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act).
Chairman Perdue said the Davidson Road right-of-way and paving issues have been under consideration for nearly 25 years and expressed appreciation that the project is moving forward. The motion carried unanimously.
