Executive Director Trenton Funkhouser reviewed a draft lease prepared by the county attorney that would provide a physical office address the EDA needs to apply for a SAMS registration to pursue federal grants. Funkhouser said the current mailing address is a county PO Box and that the draft lease should specifically reference the EDA's shared office at 44 Oakes Landing Rd. and state the purpose is to obtain a "SAMS number" and other required identification.
Members discussed potential changes and asked staff to review the draft lease with the county attorney and bring a revised document to the February meeting. No formal lease action was taken at the Jan. 12 meeting; the board will review edits and consider approval after staff follow-up.
