VDOT green-lights resurfacing of Beechland; county and developer to match VDOT specifications

The presenter said Beachland will be milled and resurfaced, with plans to keep or increase the travelway to roughly 17 feet wide in sections and add 150 yards of improved surfacing on each side of key intersections. The vendor estimated the resurfacing operation could take two to three days once scheduled. Commissioners asked about adjacent segments—some will receive shoulder and pothole repairs rather than full resurfacing—and staff said they will walk the routes with VDOT after Beechland work is completed to identify further needs.
