The Oxford County Commissioners authorized hiring Levi Cole-McDonnell (effective March 24, 2026) and Kaden Neureuther (effective March 25, 2026) as part-time corrections officers at the PT uncertified rate of $20.00 per hour.
Sheriff Chris Wainwright updated the board on departmental staffing and overtime concerns. Major Thompson told commissioners that "it is a very difficult task to find someone who is qualified for that job who wants to work part-time" when asked about the open part-time school resource officer position. Commissioners authorized the hires and asked the sheriff to examine overtime spending to control costs in the department.
