Commission hires part-time driver for Meals on Wheels; aging vans repaired

Doniphan County commissioners approved the part-time hiring of Sandra Simmons to serve as a driver for Transportation and Meals on Wheels programs. Commissioner Timothy D. Collins made the motion, Commissioner Bobby Hall seconded, and the motion carried 3-0.
Aging Director Diana Johnson told commissioners that Redneck Diesel completed repairs on the department’s 2014 and 2015 Dodge Grand Caravans for a combined, previously approved cost of $1,003.68. Commissioners took no further action on senior services staffing or additional vehicle purchases during the July 6 meeting.
