Public Health director authorized to pursue Drug-Free Communities grant; staff training set for Feb. 6

Public Health Director Janna Lee requested permission to apply for a Drug-Free Communities Grant and the board granted that permission at the Jan. 6 meeting. Rebecca Crowe joined Lee in the request; the authorization allows staff to pursue the application and associated planning.
Lee also announced a motivational interviewing training scheduled for Feb. 6 and said the public health office will close that day so the entire office can attend. The board did not withhold permission for either the grant application or the training closure.
