County Administrator Ljeness Saxton told the board the discussion about placing a fifth penny sales tax on the ballot would be scheduled for the Jan. 20 meeting to give the public an opportunity to comment. No final decision was made at the Jan. 6 session; the board directed staff to return the topic for public consideration on Jan. 20.
The board also discussed procurement policy drafts during the administrator update and directed County Attorney Clayton Melinkovich to review a "mid" version of the procurement policy and solicit department-head feedback before returning it for finalization.
