The board approved Resolution No. 2026-01 establishing the county-observed holidays for 2026 and Resolution No. 2026-02 authorizing release of direct-deposit payroll funds prior to distribution. The meeting record shows the board set the first meeting of each month to start at 9:00 a.m. and the second meeting of each month to start at 3:00 p.m.
The commissioners also assigned oversight roles: Aguiar was given responsibility for the WCCA Board, library, Road & Bridge, the airport and the Rural Water Joint Powers Board; Ryan was assigned federal and local liaison topics including BLM resource management and the Senior Citizens Center; Galovich was assigned child support enforcement, the museum and courthouse maintenance. The board said these assignments were intended to streamline communications with county departments into 2026.
