County approves amended Granicus quote to meet state livestreaming requirement for ballot processing

The court approved an amended contract with Granicus to provide live-streaming of ballot processing after staff said the county’s existing cameras are incompatible with Granicus’ system. Elections administrator Lisa explained the state legislature requires live-streaming of ballot processing and recommended approving the vendor to ensure a consistent, compliant streaming solution for the November election.
Lisa said the change increased the quote by $16,679.10 because Granicus’ cameras will need to be installed now rather than waiting for the new building. She outlined the payment profile on the record: “one time is $21,001.00 $4.10 cents, and the recurring is $21,008.32 dollars and 32¢,” and noted the contract begins Oct. 1 with an opt-out option. The court approved the amended quote by voice vote to get on the vendor’s schedule for pre-election setup.
