County staff recommend trimming EMS/Medicaid settlement projection to account for truing-up risk

"If you want to take it to 375 that's probably safer bet," staff said, noting the truing-up process can reduce earlier high estimates.
Commissioners asked for the breakdown and timing; staff said two to three settlement payments historically land in the $40,000–$160,000 range each and that final receipts may book as 'due from other governments' rather than recognized cash receivables until payment is imminent. The board directed staff to use a reduced projection for budget planning and to return with supporting schedules.
