During the Oct. 28, 2024 meeting, Republican Party Chairman Bobby Eberle reported that he had received a video showing campaign signs being destroyed in Sugar Land and asked the commission about appropriate steps to identify and prosecute those responsible.
Eberle said both parties’ chairmen planned to contact the Elections Integrity Unit and the district attorney’s office, and to reach out to their candidates to see if signs were destroyed and advise them on next steps.
