Karen Rothe distributed copies of the county Comprehensive Plan and told the Planning Commission that Harvey County's floodplain regulations "are in need of updating to bring into compliance with State Statutes and Federal Requirements." Staff highlighted areas that need revision and scheduled additional discussion for the Jan. 5, 2025 meeting.
No draft ordinance or specific text changes were presented at the Nov. 12 meeting; staff flagged compliance issues and asked board members to review highlighted sections in advance of the January meeting. The board did not take formal action on the revisions at this meeting.
