The Floyd County Board of Commissioners approved multiple procurement items on May 20, including a PASER road-rating system quote, a Novaparke paving contract and an HVAC maintenance agreement.
County Engineer Horacio Urieta presented three PASER quotes — HWC Engineering ($17,000), Beacon Street ($14,000) and SME Engineering ($58,500) — and commissioners moved to proceed with the lowest bidder. Urieta also reported Libs Paving was the lowest bidder for Novaparke at $84,610.00; the board approved that bid by unanimous motion. Building & Development Director Nick Creevy presented a maintenance agreement for Reisz, Pineview and the garage totaling $11,104.50 annually; that was approved unanimously as well.
The approvals cover pavement-condition assessment work, an immediate paving project for the Novaparke site, and scheduled HVAC maintenance for county facilities. Commissioners said subsequent scheduling and administrative steps will follow procurement.
