County Attorney Kristi Fox presented both resolutions and the board approved each motion unanimously but placed a condition that EMA and the Coroner submit formal vehicle-usage policies prior to putting the vehicles into service.
Coroner Matt Tomlin told the commissioners he would prepare a usage policy and planned to outfit the vehicle for removals. "He will need to modify the vehicle in terms of getting it outfitted for removals," the record states. Commissioners emphasized that having an in‑house coroner vehicle may free ambulances for emergency calls while noting policy submission was required before service.
