Floyd County commissioners elect Al Knable president, Jason Sharp vice president for 2025

Jason Sharp moved to nominate Al Knable for president; Frank Loop seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Frank Loop then moved to nominate Jason Sharp for vice president; Al Knable seconded, and that motion also passed unanimously. The meeting was called to order at 5:45 p.m., with the board noting that Commissioners Al Knable, Jason Sharp and Frank Loop were present along with county officials including Attorney Kristi Fox and Auditor Diana Topping.
The new leadership will preside over the board’s 2025 calendar and procedural responsibilities. No discussion or amendments to the nominations were recorded in the minutes. The board proceeded directly to the announced slate of county appointments for 2025.
